Dealing with loss (Face to face)

Carers often deal with many losses throughout their experience of caring and don’t get the opportunity or space to reflect and talk about them. In this session you will learn more about the process of loss (including bereavement) and how to find ways of accepting and navigating emotions.

Who is this session for?
This event is open to carers residing in or caring for a person in Edinburgh only.

Carers who would like to explore and come to terms with any losses they have experienced.

Outcomes of this session
By the end of the session you will have will explored loss, grief and their connection, different types of losses including those associated with being a carer. Explore some models to help us understand loss and grief.

Delivered by
Rebecca Caulfield, Senior Carer Training Officer, VOCAL. Rebecca has worked at VOCAL for 7 years and now manages the Carer Training programme at VOCAL. She runs a number of face-to-face and online courses for carers.

VOCAL is pleased to be able once again to offer a limited number of face to face training courses at the Edinburgh Carers Hub, 60 Leith Walk, EH6 5HB.

This session is limited to five places for physical distancing.

Face to face courses may be cancelled at short notice if indicated by new government guidance, if this is the case you will be booked onto the corresponding online session.
