Are you worried about the safety and wellbeing of someone? What can you do if you suspect someone is a victim of domestic abuse, without making it worse? This session will help you understand more about domestic abuse and how to support someone you think may be in this situation.

Who is this online session for?
Carers who are worried about the safety and wellbeing of someone who is experiencing domestic abuse or would like more information about domestic abuse.
Outcomes of this online session
- Understanding of the Scottish Government’s definition of domestic abuse, including through theory & research.
- Knowledge of Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Act 2018, and what it means for practitioners and people experiencing domestic abuse.
- Confidence working in a relational, trauma informed manner to ensure people experiencing domestic abuse get the proper support.
