Empowering conversations for parent carers (Midlothian)

This course aims to improve knowledge and confidence of parents/carers around having good conversations.

Duration: 1 week

Who is this course for?
Midlothian parents/carers who care for a disabled children, a child with additional support needs or with long term conditions.

Weekly Breakdown
Come along and learn more on empowering conversations to give yourself the best chance of getting what your child needs, learn about how to challenge decisions affecting you and your child and meet with parents/carers in similar situations. You will also hear first-hand from an LCiL Champion about their experience.

The session will be facilitated by Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living (LCiL)

What carers will get from this course

  • Increased knowledge of how to have empowering conversations.
  • Increased ability to challenge decisions affecting both you and child.
  • Meet new people and increase your confidence.

Please note a light lunch will be provided.
