Getting a break from caring (Face to face)

A workshop on options for planning a break from caring. Learn about the support and services available.

Who is this session for?
This event is open to carers residing in or caring for a person in Edinburgh only.

Carers who would like to find out more about what options are available to enable them to get a break from their caring role.

Outcomes of this session

By the end of the session carers will have:

  • Explored what a break from caring means to you and why it’s so important for you to get break.
  • Listed what breaks are available for carers.
  • Discussed the practicalities of getting a break.

Delivered by
Aga Newsome, Carer Training Officer at VOCAL. Aga has recently joined the team at VOCAL, and comes with over 4 years’ experience of delivering training in the care sector. She runs a number of face to face and online courses for carers.

VOCAL is pleased to offer face to face training courses at the Edinburgh Carers Hub, 60 Leith Walk, EH6 5HB. A number of measures have been introduced to protect the safety and wellbeing of carers coming into the hub.

This event has limited places for physical distancing.

Face to face courses may be cancelled at short notice if indicated by government guidance or other COVID factor.
