In the Same Boat: A boat trip for people affected by another’s drug/alcohol use.

Tue 29 March, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

VOCAL FSA, in conjunction with The Sorted Project, are offering a unique opportunity for family members and friends affected by someone else’s drug/alcohol use to spend an afternoon on board ‘The Panacea’.  Leaving from Ratho village, this barge boat will travel along the union canal through some areas of natural beauty just outside Edinburgh. You will be provided with lunch and refreshments. The crew of The Panacea are all people in long-term recovery from addiction and your fellow passengers are all people who care for someone with a drug or alcohol use problem. Should you wish, you will have the opportunity to connect and converse with others on board in a relaxed atmosphere; or alternatively, simply enjoy the space, scenery and peace by yourself.
