
Introduction to caring in Edinburgh

About the event:
This event is aimed at people who are new to caring, or carers who are new to Edinburgh. Attending this event gives carers the opportunity to find out information on accessing support, money and welfare rights, as well as VOCAL services.
Over the three weeks we will cover the following:
- Week 1 – Sharing your caring role and information on VOCAL support and services
- Week 2 – Introduction to some benefits that carers and the person they care for may be entitled to
- Week 3 – How to access support in the community

Aga Newsome, Carer Training Officer at VOCAL. Aga has recently joined the team at VOCAL, and comes with over 4 years’ experience of delivering training in the care sector. She runs a number of face to face and online courses for carers.
