About the event:
Do you care for someone with dementia? This workshop will help you understand and manage behaviour you might find distressing or hard to deal with. This session is aimed at carers who care for someone who has mid- to late-stage dementia, or who want to understand more about what triggers the behaviours they find challenging, and how to reduce them or cope with them.
The following topics will be covered in the session:
- Information on why those with dementia may exhibit certain behaviours
- Ways of responding to stress and distress in dementia
- Understanding our response to these behaviours
