About the event:
Information and advice on how long-term care, such as residential care, day care or care at home, is arranged and paid for.
Week 1- Selecting a service
There is a wide range of care homes and day centres offering different services locally. This session helps carers to think about what to consider when choosing a service, and how they will gather information.
Week 2- Paying for Care
This session provides information about how a care is funded and includes information about free personal and nursing care payments.
Delivered by
Aga Newsome, Carer Training Officer at VOCAL. Aga has recently joined the team at VOCAL, and comes with over 4 years’ experience of delivering training in the care sector. She runs a number of face to face and online courses for carers.
