About the event:
Information about welfare benefits available to carers and the people they care for.
Many carers find themselves in the position of having to access benefits for themselves or the person they care for. Navigating the welfare system can be confusing so come along to this session led by the Carer Support Practitioner team at VOCAL to ask specific questions about benefits and find out what’s available.
This session will cover:
- An outline of the benefits applicable to carers
- An outline of some of the benefits that may be relevant to the cared for person
- Information on Carers Allowance, Attendance Allowance, PIP, ESA, Adult Disability Payment and Universal Credit
