About the event:
During this informal session, led by Corrie, we will explore how the internet is changing and how children and young people interact with each other online. We will discuss supportive strategies and how to reduce the risk of harm.
We will explore how the internet is changing and how our children interact with each other online. You will learn more about:
- The prevalence of sexting (sending and receiving sexual images)
- Common platforms for sharing sexts
- How the law protects young people
- Key legislation and strategies to support young people
- How to reduce harm and understand the impact of sexting
Delivered by:
Corrie McLean. Corrie has been working in education for a decade, developing her specialist skills in sexual health and inclusive learning. She works closely with vulnerable individuals with ASN and parents and carers who support them.
