When: Tuesday 10 October, 5.30pm – 7pm

About the event:  

Do you care for someone with dementia? Led by an experienced dementia nurse this session will help you understand the basics of dementia and some of the challenges that come with the condition.

The following topics will be covered in the session –

  • What dementia is
  • An explanation of the different types of dementia
  • An understanding of diagnosis and treatment
  • The impact of dementia on the person you care for
  • Post diagnostic support
  • How dementia challenges communication

There will be an opportunity to ask questions throughout the session.
