Incontinence is defined as the involuntary loss of urine and/or faeces that can have a devastating effect upon the physical, social and psychological wellbeing of the person and can significantly impact their quality of life. Incontinence is not a disease, but a symptom of an underlying condition which can be treated in many cases.
It’s estimated that 14 million people in the UK have bladder control problems. Less than half of those will seek help and advice. Approximately 80% of urinary incontinence can be cured or significantly improved after a complete assessment. This session is a space to ask questions, discuss products, and gain practical tips around supporting someone with continence issues.
