A workshop on options to help you plan a break from caring. Learn about the support and services available. 

By the end of the session carers will have:

-Explored what a break from caring means to you

-Considered why it’s so important for you to get a break

-Listed what breaks are available for carers

-Discussed the practicalities of getting a break

About the event: Join us to practise mindfulness with others in a supportive and communal setting. Meeting monthly, we will offer a unique experience that can deepen your practice and provide a sense of connection.

This group is open to anyone, whether you’re looking for a space to practise or are a beginner.

Join VOCAL and Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living (LCiL) practitioners to find out more, including what the law says about this, the pros and cons of employing a family member and how to present your case for employing a family member to the local authority.

Join us for a relaxing afternoon at the National Library inspired by the current exhibition, Renaissance: Scotland and Europe. After spending some time looking at the items on display, poet Lynn Davidson will lead you through some gentle writing prompts in response. No experience of writing is required. Refreshments will be provided.
