This session will talk you through the reasons why it is important to make a will and demonstrate how to do it using the Bequeathed Will for Good Service.

Support for family of someone with alcohol or drug dependency.

Corrie is back to talk about supporting your children through puberty and growing up. This is a follow up to our “Gentle introduction to supporting your children through puberty and growing up”. The group will discuss topics such as consent, navigating internet safety, body image and mental health and many more. *You do not need to have attended the first session to attend this one*

This session will focus on Sex, gender and sexuality: supporting LGBTQIA autistic young people and adults

  • The history of sexuality and disability.
  • The diversity of the LGBTQIA community
  • The difference between sex, gender, gender expression and attraction.

About the event:  

Anyone can be a victim of a scam, particularly now when fraudsters are finding new ways to target people all the time. In this informal session we will talk about the latest scams and help you to identify, avoid and deal with scam cold calls, email, text or WhatsApp messages and what to do if you think you’ve been targeted.

About the event: This month’s craft group will be making gift bags and a desk tidy. Get creative and enjoy a blether whilst doing so! Craft packs provided. No previous experience or skills are required. Materials and instructions are provided. If you prefer bring your own craft such as knitting etc. just come along for the blether.

We will be joined by Carole Sleight, Carer Support Practitioner from VOCAL Midlothian who will explain to the group the purpose of the Mental Health Strategic Planning Group in Midlothian. Carole will also ask carers for their feedback on issues or problems which they have faced relating to mental health, particularly issues with services.
